3 key summer nutrition tips
1. Stay hydrated to prevent dehydration. Monitor the colour of your urine. A clear / straw coloured urine indicates that you are hydrated. The darker the colour the more dehydrated a person is.
2. Don’t put food directly on picnic tables or other outdoor surfaces because insects, birds and other animals can all carry food poisoning bacteria. Use plates, napkins, containers to store food.
3. Keep foods you plan to BBQ properly chilled in the fridge or in a cool box until you need it. A sunny day creates the perfect conditions for bacteria to grow!
